Ninja Nudge: get your trumpet blown
Are you good at blowing your own trumpet? At our recent Get Growing workshop, several of the business owners round the table expressed reticence about telling people how good they are and having the confidence to be confident in their product or service. So today’s Ninja Nudge is about getting other people to blow your trumpet. Ask a recent customer for a testimonial. You can offer to write it for them to save them the time and brain power – most people will appreciate the help and are happy to put their name to it. Try not to be too generic – think of one aspect of the real value you deliver that perhaps is not mentioned in other testimonials you have and focus on this. You can then talk about your client testimonials at relevant points in your sales conversations, which is a much gentler way to blow that trumpet.
